Among Us is an RPG in which you take the role of a survivor in a post-apocalyptic world. You start out by creating custom characters with a variety of different options in body type, facial features, and clothing. The game has a robust character customization system that allows you to create a character that is truly your own. You start out in a safe zone, and are given a choice of various tasks to complete. They range from gathering supplies for your shelter, to hunting for food, to just exploring the world.
The gameplay is a mix of point-and-click, RPG, and survival. There are quick time events that pop up in certain moments, such as when you are fighting, and you have to press the corresponding buttons as they pop up in order to make sure you don't get hit. There are also quests, such as searching for a lost child in the woods, or getting supplies for your shelter.
The graphics are gritty and dark, but also have a style all their own. It's one of those games where you can tell they put a lot of passion into making the graphics and character models. The scenery is very detailed, even if it's only for a short time, and even the zombies look realistic.
The controls are fairly simple, and while there is a tutorial at the beginning of the game, it's very short, so it's easy to jump right into the action.
Among Us has a lot of replayability because of the variety of different tasks and quests you can do. You can also play as a female protagonist, so it's easy to make a new character and play them differently.
Overall, Among Us is a great game for anyone who likes RPGs, survival games, or point-and-click games. You get to create your own character, and can choose how you want to play them. There are plenty of tasks to do, and the graphics are unique and detailed.
